‘A Fair Tale’ is about cocoa farming in Ghana and the importance of Fairtrade.
It was created by the Fairtrade Committee at Hutchesons’ Grammar Primary School for Fairtrade Fortnight 2020. The group were joined by FP and animation tutor, Joanna Susskind from Toad’s Caravan Ltd, to learn all about stop motion animation. Pupils from P4-7 were joined by their teacher Mrs Buchan and Head of Art and Design, Mrs Breckenridge, and they managed to create a wonderful video titled ‘Fairtrade story: A Fair Tale’ promoting the importance of Fairtrade cocoa in Ghana. They were also joined by Colleen Tait from the Scottish Fairtrade Forum. The group spent 2 full days in workshops in order to create all props, artwork, voice-recordings and animations to make this beautiful movie come together!
