Guardians of the Rainforest (Welsh shorter version)

Mae’r fersiwn hon wedi’i llunio ar y cyd â Masnach Deg Cymru ac mae ganddi droslais Cymraeg. 

Mae ‘Guardians of the Rainforest’ yn sôn am y ffermwyr coco sy’n gweithio gyda’i gilydd i ddiogelu Coedwig Law Gola yn Sierra Leone, Gorllewin Affrica. Mae’r stori’n cael ei hadrodd gan Gbassay, sy’n 14 oed, y mae ei deulu wedi bod yn ffermwyr coco ers cenedlaethau.

3 munud 54 eiliad yw’r ffilm ac mae fersiwn hwy (12 munud) yma. Rydym yn argymell y fersiwn hwy ar gyfer gwers CA3 am ffermio a diogelu amgylcheddol sy’n ystyriol o goedwigoedd.

This version has been produced in collaboration with Fair Trade Wales and has a Welsh language voice over. 

‘Guardians of the Rainforest’  is about the cocoa farmers who are working together to protect the Gola Rainforest in Sierra Leone, West Africa. The story is told by 14-year-old Gbassay, whose family have been cocoa farmers for generations.

The film is 3 minutes 54 seconds and there is a longer version (12 minutes) here. We would recommend the longer version for a KS3 lesson about forest friendly farming and environmental protection.
