Send a wave of hope to world leaders

This year, the UK will host two important world summits in which world leaders will meet to discuss global issues that affect us all, such as the climate crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and global trade. These summits are the G7, taking place in Cornwall in June, and COP26, taking place in Glasgow in November.

Your school can help us to ensure the decisions made at these summits will be fair for farmers.

During these important world summits, some of the world’s most powerful leaders will make decisions that affect communities all around the world. Join in with the Wave of Hope to tell national leaders that the people who produce our foods and goods must not be ignored.

How can my school get involved?

We invite you, your school and your families to join a Wave of Hope to flood world leaders with calls for a fair deal for farmers. You are one of 10 million people across the UK invited to get involved! Together, we can remind governments and world leaders to choose a fair future for the communities most affected by global crises.

Why do we need to send a Wave of Hope?

We are joining the Wave of Hope because the decisions made at the G7 and COP26 need to ensure a fair future for farmers around the world and the planet that we all share.

This can only happen if we work as one global community. Centuries of unfair trade and the legacy of colonialism mean that millions of people across the world work hard but do not earn a living income. Without a living income, it is very difficult to adapt to the quickly changing climate or respond to catastrophes such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

The people most affected by these crises need to be listened to and respected if we are to win a truly sustainable future. Taking part in the Wave of Hope is a brilliant chance to convince our politicians to listen to the farmers and workers we all depend on and deliver a deal that is fair.
