Fairtrade works with Educational Recording Agency to create playlist on climate change
We are delighted to have worked in partnership with the Educational Recording Agency (ERA) to produce a helpful playlist to introduce the topic of climate change to students aged 7-14. ERA enables schools, colleges and universities to make educational use of TV and Radio broadcasts.
Today, millions of farming families and their communities stand on the front line of a climate crisis they have done the least to cause. 17 people from Côte d’Ivoire have the same carbon footprint as one person in the UK, but studies have shown that Africa is the continent most vulnerable to climate change. The video clips in the playlist introduce young people to climate change, its causes and effects and the injustice at the heart of the issue.
We hope that you enjoy using the playlist with your students. To extend your learning on trade and climate justice, we recommend checking out the Fairtrade Teaching Resource Library for more resources.
