Take part in Fairtrade Fortnight
Fairtrade Fortnight 2022 will begin at the end of February 2022. Watch this space for updates later in the year!
During Fairtrade Fortnight 2021, schools and families across the UK came together to learn about, and celebrate, the people who grow our food and drink and explore the topic of ‘Climate, Fairtrade and You’. Young people had the opportunity to discover how their choices as individuals can make a difference to the lives of people around the world and to the planet that we all share. #ChooseTheWorldYouWant
Don’t worry if you missed it! Here are four ways you can continue to get involved…
1. Teach about Fairtrade and the climate crisis
Download our ‘Climate, Fairtrade and You’ Education Packs, containing everything you need to teach a topic on Fairtrade and climate. These packs contain socially distanced assembly scripts, lesson plans, home learning grids, a quiz and information about the farmers who are impacted by the climate crisis. Our education packs for Early Years, Primary schools and Secondary schools are packed full of fun, creative activities for learning at home or in the classroom.
2. Join our online festival
To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight, the Fairtrade Foundation hosted a virtual online festival bringing together schools, universities, businesses, supporters, campaigners and farmers from across the world to choose the world they want. Visit the Choose the world you want Festival.
3. Be inspired by the Fairtrade Youth Exhibition
During Fairtrade Fortnight, young people between the ages of 5 and 25 were invited to share their vision of the world they want for farmers and workers worldwide and the planet we share. Explore young people’s visions here.
